Laurie Lazovick is the co-founder of the Forward Progress Camp. She has made it her life work to help kids of all ages develop the skills they need to succeed in anything they do (on the field, in the classroom, and life). Lazovick was an Academic Coach for Casillas during his four years at New Brunswick High School, and the two have since worked together on their goal to build a program that inspires and supports children.
Lazovick has been serving the New Brunswick community for over 20 years. She ran the first-ever "Play it Smart" program for 15 years at New Brunswick High School. She has served the school district in many roles over the years, including advising Peer Leadership, choreographing musicals and coaching cheerleading. She is currently the School Counselor at Woodrow Wilson School in Brunswick.
Lazovick's dedication to her students has been recognized in many ways. She won numerous Educator of the Year awards, NY Mets-Champion of the Community, Magic 98.3 Women Who Make Magic award, and the Special Olympics NJ Play Unified award. Lazovick was also inducted into the New Brunswick High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
Lazovick has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Syracuse University, a Master of Education degree in Athletic Counseling from Springfield College and her School Counseling certification from William Paterson University.
