Steven Louka was born in Queens, NY. The son of Egyptian immigrants, he did not speak English when he started going to school. Being around other kids, he quickly learned the language. Steve was 7 years old, when him and his family moved to New Jersey. He graduated from Piscataway High School and went on to Long Island University as a pharmacy major. He quickly realized this was not for him and transferred to Raritan Valley Community College, where he completed all of the general education requirements. From there, Steve was accepted to Kean University, where he completed his degree in Health and Physical Education. Steve began working as a Physical and Health Education teacher in New Brunswick Public Schools. He would also serve as an Assistant Varsity Basketball coach, Middle School Assistant Basketball coach, Middle School Assistant baseball coach, Middleschool Head Baseball Coach, and Assistant Varsity Tennis Coach. Steve went back to Kean University and completed his Masters in Educational Leadership. In 2016, after working as a teacher for 12 years, he became the Supervisor of Physical Education, Health and Wellness. In 2019, Steve was hired as the Vice-Principal of McKinley School, where he remains currently.
